Vishwa Nirmala Prem Center for Destitute Women and Children (NGO in Greater Noida) ; Total Amount Raised-$2200

Mission Statement:

To ensure all women and girls in the world feel safe, appreciated, and cared for at all times.

Goals: Raise at least $1600 for Vishwa Nirmala Prem Center for Destitute Women and Children (NGO in Greater Noida)
Objectives:
  • Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty. Over 30% even have less than $1.25 per day available This makes the Indian subcontinent one of the poorest countries in the world. Here, women and children in poverty suffer most as they are often not given the right to education, abandoned, or mistreated.
  • Vishwa Nirmal Prem Ashram wanted to uplift such women and girls by giving them shelter, thus helping them integrate into society, by providing a place where poor women and children can live, meditate, and get back on their feet for a better future.
  • This NGO is supported by volunteers from India and from various other countries, so it relies on donations to continue to provide the best support it can.

    Strategies:
  • Raise funds so that the NGO can use that money in whatever way they see fit, like enhancing their living conditions, educational and vocational training opportunities, mental health improvement through meditation and yoga.
  • Draft and send emails to family and friends to bring awareness and seek their help in fulfilling my fundraising goal.
  • Participate in any food and bake sale opportunities to raise money.
  • Direct anyone who wants to know more information to the website: https://www.nirmalprem.org /
  • Take any other additional steps to meet my goal and ask for guidance when I need it.

    13. E-Waste: Dark Side of Digital Age >> These days, it's often cheaper and more convenient to buy a new PC than to upgrade an old one. But what happens to those old computers once they've been abandoned for newer models? The refuse from discarded electronics products, also known as e-waste, often ends up in landfills or incinerators instead of being recycled. And that means toxic substances like lead, cadmium and mercury that are commonly used in these products can contaminate the land, water and air.
