Used Computer Collection and Refurbishing
FREE Service. We collect unused computers at no cost from friends, families, sub-division door-to-door campaign visits, (also from other states- during family visits) and CRC three drop-off locations.
We collect computers, monitors, scanners, printers, music systems, TVs, and other computer peripherals. In a normal month we get around a dozen calls from people looking to replace their computers. Sometimes they come to drop off their old PC at our home and chat with me for a few minutes. We also collect trashed electronics items from different garbage collection points and travel around 50 miles radius to pick used electronics. We received some electronics from other cities in the mail. We get calls from residents around our city and also email requests from our website Contact Us page.

We organize computer refurbishing day event on every first Sunday of the month at one of our computer refurbishing centers
at local temple. Parents and many volunteers come and help us to refurbish used computers.
Other three Sundays, we refurbish computers at our home in Powell, Ohio.
In addition to computer donations, we also receive computer parts including: hard drives,
memory cards, and other computer pheripherals. We give hands-on training to all CRC volunteers
at our computer refurbishing center.
We donate computers to local Children’s Hospital patients, Habitat for Humanity charity, and other local charities.
We update our inventory list every two weeks for all working items and notify local charities

So far we dropped 50000lbs+ of eWaste (800+ CRT monitors, 400+ printers, 300+ scanners, 20 TVs, 50+ audio systems, and lots of electronic parts) for recycling. 2010 Fact Sheet
CRC Campaigns
We distribute brochures in different neighboring subdivisions, apartment complexes, local libraries,
community centers to raise public awareness on recycling, provide details for the nearest
recycling centers/drop-off locations, and collect used computers for refurbishing.
We request our volunteers or sub-division teams to distribute CRC brochures in their sub-divisions and nearby subdivisions.
We provide training and campaign material to all volunteers and sub-division teams.
We set up recycling info booths at public gatherings and community events.
We distribute brochures, give presentations at public events, and also collect used computers at our booths.
